Re: Week 3 Predictions

PV/Richlands- As much as I would like to see PV pull this one out, I just can't pick them until they show me they can do more on offense...Richlands 14 PV 7

Clintwood/Appy- Is there even any doubt? Appy falls again on the road to a possible winless season. Clintwood 56 Appy 6

Lee/Harlan- I dont know much about Harlan but Lee is improving. I take the Generals in this one. 20-0

JI Burton/JJ Kelly - Although JJ kelly is getting better and better it seems, ya have to remember, speed kills. Burton 49 Kelly 7

Re: Week 3 Predictions

Looks like I'll more than likely be going to the Burton/Kelly game this week. Not much else to choose from, and although the PV/Richlands game may be another so-so game, the drive down there probably wouldn't be worth it.

Here are my predictions:

Richlands - 35, PV - 14
Clintwood - 56, Appy - 6
J.I. Burton - 42, Kelly - 21

Re: Week 3 Predictions

Powell Valley @ Richlands
Last week, the Vikings went down 34-12 to Lebanon on the road and the game won't be any easier this week at Richlands. Though not the powerhouse of the last couple years, Richlands still has a lot of talent in their program and has the edge in this game. This should be a good developmental game for the Vikings.

JIB @ JJK
GAME OF THE WEEK - Depending on who you talk to, this game will either be a blow out or one of the hardest fought games this season. I think it's going to be closer than some might expect. Can the Indians give the Raiders a game to remember? Will the Raiders go to JJK to make a statement? Whatever you think the outcome of the game is going to be, its going to be as emotionally charged as any game in the LPD this year. With all due respect to the Indians, if they win this game it will have to be considered an upset. But, what an upset that would be. I think the Raiders win this one in a hard-fought game.

St. Paul @ Ervinton
Coming off a 26-13 win over Twin Valley, the Deacons cross Dante Mountain to play the Ervinton Rebels. Though re-building, the Deacons should have a big advantage over a Rebels team struggling with numbers this year. Deacons win big.

Twin Valley @ Honaker
Despite losing to Richlands in week two, Honaker has got the attention of a few folks who think they could now be the odds-on-favorite to win the BDD. Panthers shouldn't be much of a problem for the Tigers.

Coeburn @ Pound
After a big win over Ervinton, the Blue Knights continue their quest for the CD championship. Knights win again.

Some other games...
Haysi @ Tug Valley (WV)
Childhowie @ Twin Springs
John Battle @ Holston
Harlan @ Lee High
Rye Cove @ Sullivan North
Thomas Walker @ Hancock

Open 9/5
Gate City - Next game vs Lebanon
Lebanon - Next game vs GC
Castlewood - Next game vs Twin Valley
Virginia High - Next game vs Tenn High

Is there anything that needs to be said about that game?
